A little bit about us.
Bungalow Building Co. is an Australian owned and operated, family run company.
We’re a medium sized building company, which allows us to remain versatile an offer you all the extras of a larger form, without sacrificing end-to-end customer service.
Our Director, Karl Lane has several decades of experience in the building industry. Karl started his career as a carpenter, and in 2009, expanded to include building works and other trades.
Karl’s team became well-known for their professionalism and workmanship, particularly with Californian Bungalow styled homes which are common in our local area - Rosebery, Mascot, Pagewood, Maroubra and Kensington.
The company was rebranded to Bungalow Building Co. in 2022.
We continue to proudly service the local suburbs in Sydney’s Southeast, from Matraville, up through to Randwick, back down to Kingsford, down to Rosebery and back to the suburb of Botany.
Though Californian Bungalows are our area of expertise, we regularly take on other renovation projects, whether it be a custom renovation, second storey extension, internal reconfiguration, granny flat addition, standalone bathroom renovation or whole home remodel.

Every job we take on is local to Sydney’s Eastern suburbs, so we have great relationships with both Bayside, City of Sydney and Randwick Councils - we know how they operate!
So when it comes to submitting architectural plans and gaining approvals we’ve got it sorted for you!
We use local suppliers so the cost of materials and supplies is fairly standardised from project to project. Sometimes there is a need to make changes to budget to accommodate challenges in the build, but we want to reduce the chances of any budget blow outs!
For the same reason, we use the same tradespeople because we know we can trust them. Our tradies are fully licensed and insured, experienced and reliable.
